Who we are.
The crisis of clinician distress is not just a professional issue for our co-founders. It is also a personal issue. Both have had their own experiences with moral injury, have watched friends struggle, and have been impacted by the broader implications. These experiences galvanized their decision to drive change.
Cofounders
Wendy Dean, MD
Dr. Dean practiced as a psychiatrist for a decade, worked in medical product development for the Department of Defense, and then as an executive for a half-billion dollar non-profit.
Since 2019, she has focused solely on reducing workforce distress.
Simon Talbot, MD
Dr. Talbot is a hand and microsurgeon at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, and Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School.
His research focuses on nerve repair, the psychosocial aspects of upper limb amputation and transplantation, and workforce distress.
As clinicians, leaders, patients, and family members, we have experienced healthcare from every perspective. We know it shouldn’t be this hard for anyone.
